Oil cooler leaking coolant. Really need some advice not much in the manual on this or topics. Changed the coolant res and they started losing a lot of coolant I could see water on top of the engine so i removed it all and can see the pictures, seems likely to be the oil cooler connection or oil cooler.

Contributor 1 Answer. Posted on Oct 16, 2014. Hi i have a Jag Diesel 2004, 85K. i See black smoke when i accelerate in 2nd & 3rd gear. 1 - cleaned the EGR valve. 2 - chnaged the air filter (used a performance filer) 3 - there was split in the hose pipe from intercooler to EGR - replaced that too.
